Wedge clamp

 

 

A wedge clamp is a non-load-bearing power-connecting fitting used in power distribution systems. It is used for the connection between aluminum stranded wires or steel cores of aluminum stranded wires, the connection between aluminum stranded wires, and copper stranded wires. Wedge-shaped wire clamps are mainly used on some overhead lines. Generally, the wires can be fixed to some poles so that the insulation effect can be guaranteed. The shape of the wedge clamp can fix the circuit and is more secure for the wire. Wedge clamps are used to install steel strands and fasten overhead ground wires and guy wires on guy towers. It uses the arm force of the wedge to lock the steel strand in the wire clamp.
